Technical Customer Service Specialist

Job Description

Join the TAC Rockford team as a Technical Customer Service Specialist, where you’ll be an integral part of our customer service and technical support team. In this role, you’ll tackle customer inquiries, prepare quotes and proposals, and provide technical assistance throughout the sales process—all while ensuring our customers are always in the loop.

This role comes with plenty of on-the-job training, so no need to be an expert right away! We’re more interested in your willingness to learn, grow, and dive into new challenges alongside us. Your curiosity and eagerness to develop will make you a great fit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction: Respond professionally to customer emails and phone calls providing detailed product information and assistance.
  • Quotes and Proposals: Prepare accurate customer quotes and proposals in a timely manner asking insightful questions to better understand customer needs.
  • Technical Assistance: Develop a strong understanding of TAC Rockford’s product offerings and provide both pre- and post-sales technical support including troubleshooting and follow-ups.
  • Website and Documentation Updates: Ensure product information, documentation, and descriptions on our website are current and accurate.

Desirable Experience / Background:

  • Experience with mechanical or technical products.
  • Background in technical support or customer service in an office environment.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines and mechanical components (e.g., motors, pumps, valves, and cylinders).
  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Global experience including travel or foreign language skills is a plus.

Employment Details

This position is full-time and in-person. Compensation is based on skills and experience. Health insurance is not provided.
