Job Description: As a Technical Sales Support Specialist at TAC Rockford, you will be a crucial part of our customer service and technical support team. You will handle customer inquiries, prepare quotes and proposals, and offer technical assistance throughout the sales process. Your role will also involve creating detailed product drawings, updating website content, and assisting with product assembly as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction: Professionally respond to customer emails and phone calls, addressing inquiries and providing detailed information.
  • Quotes and Proposals: Prepare accurate customer quotes and proposals in a timely manner. Cultivate the ability to ask insightful questions to provide customers what they need, not necessarily what they ask for.
  • Drawings and Documentation: Learn and effectively use CAD software to create accurate and detailed product drawings. Develop and update manufacturing drawings, create product illustrations for our website and sales literature, and ensure website content is current and accurate.
  • Technical Assistance: Develop a comprehensive understanding of TAC Rockford’s unique product offerings and coordinate pre- and post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and follow-ups.
  • Product Assembly: Assist as needed with short-run and prototype product assembly as required.

Desirable Experience / Background:

  • Experience with mechanical or technical products in a similar company setting.
  • Background in an office environment with a focus on technical support or customer service.
  • Familiarity with CNC machines and graphics software, including CAD.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components such as motors, pumps, valves, and cylinders.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Global experience, including travel or foreign language skills, is a plus.

This position is full-time and in-person. Compensation based on skills and experience.
