Also known as taper pots, TAC Rockford tool holder taper sleeve gauges are designed to inspect steep taper (CAT V-flange) tool holder tapers for wear, fretting, high spots, and other defects. By using a non-drying Dykem or similar blueing compound, potential problems with proper seating of the tool holder can be detected.
By placing taper gauge on a granite surface, gauges can also be used for measuring tool holder offset from the gauge line.
Taper gauges are manufactured per DIN 2080, but can be used with any steep taper type (CAT-V, BT, MAS, DIN, ISO, etc.)
An inspection certificate and carrying case are included with gauges.

TAC Rockford Morse tool holder taper gauges are for inspection of Morse tool holder tapers. Gauges made from a hardened gauge steel, and include a padded carrying case and certificate. Manufactured per DIN 229.
Both measuring gauges are set to zero with the calibrated taper plug gauge. When an HSK tool holder is inserted in the ring gauges, deviations in diameters d2 or d3 are shown on the indicator.
Series 968 gauges offer comprehensive dimensional verification of HSK tool holders.
TAC Rockford Morse spindle taper gauges are for inspection of Morse spindle tapers. Gauges made from a hardened gauge steel, and include a padded carrying case and certificate. Manufactured per DIN 229.
Mounting unit partially pre-assembled, aluminum body, holding sleeve, swivel unit and clamping elements. Available for HSK, Capto PSK (PSC), Steep Taper (SK), and VDI.
Using the calibrated master, the distance of the 30 degree clamping slope relative to l 2 is preset using the dial indicator holder. The tool taper to be measured is placed in the centering piece, allowing the variation of the taper to be measured.
Clamp style unit for horizontal and vertical use. Includes clamping flange and clamping sleeve. Other configurations and clamping fixtures for standard taper tools are also available.
